Healing from Rejection

Joseph was hated by his brothers. They wanted to kill him, and ended up selling him as a slave. While he was a slave, a woman lied about him and had him put in prison when he was innocent. He was there for 2 years, then God turned it around and made him second to Pharaoh in Egypt, where he saved many people’s lives during a famine.

Later, the broken relationships in his family were restored, and he said to his brothers, “You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20).

God meant it for good- and He promises to do the same for everyone who belongs to Him! Romans 8:28 says all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Whatever you have been through, He wants you to be healed and restored, and build loving relationships without fear of rejection. Ask Him to lead you to relationships with people who will accept and care for you.

If you have had relationships that were broken through rejection and abandonment, it’s possible for God to work in the hearts of those who rejected you. Ephesians 1:19–20 speaks of the power of God that is able to raise the dead, and things that we see as impossible are possible with Him. He still does miracles today.
